Review! Urban Decay 24/7 Concealer!

Hola, beauty addicts! Welcome to my review of the Urban Decay 24/7 Concealer, I have been using the product for a week to give it a good test drive on staying power and coverage, to see if it is actually worth the £12 price tag. I purchased this in Debenhams, if any of you wanted to purchase after reading this review.

So on to the review(exciting stuff, huh?)

This concealer has a lovely creamy texture, applies well and it is easily blend-able, for this review I have been using it on my under eye circles, sadly they are quite dark at the moment, a product of working night shifts and no sleep!

I found this one works best if you apply some under your foundation and then a small amount over the top, and amazingly it covered them quite well! I was pleased! It is also good for small red patches on the face(if you have any)

Staying power wise, I would advise powdering the area you use this concealer after application, I have tried it with and without a finishing powder and after working ten hours it seemed to stick around much better with powder than without it. The powder I used was Rimmel's stay matte long lasting pressed powder, this is widely available in any high street chemist. Anyway, I digress, now the negative points, I was quite disappointed that this concealer came in pencil form, the fact that you only get 3.5 grams for your £12 seems quite pricey, and I would much prefer that it came in a pot, I personally think this makes for easier application.

That being said I will be purchasing this again, as it is a good concealer.

Please do let me know if you have ever tried this product, and what are your opinions of it?

Did they differ from mine? If so, why?

Thanks for reading and do leave comments below! I love reading them!

Much Love

Hero Product Of The Month : Superdrug Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser and My Health.

Hello lovely readers! I am back after a month's hiatus, I am so sorry I have been away for so long but I have had a few problems with my health :( mainly being this skin condition that has been plaguing me for over a year, which just appeared out of the blue, having done some intensive research, it appears there is no specific cause for it, and all you can do is take antihistamines to lessen the irritation :( so now I am currently prescribed by my doctor, medication which I have to take one of twice a day, and one for bedtime. I feel I have waffled on a lot about this now, so I thought I may as well let you know which condition it is and please, please, please if you know of anyone who has or has had this condition, please let me know what they did to get rid of it(or if they still have it) how they alleviate it! You can find more infomation here

So anyway, enough about me, and on to the real reason for this blog post!!!

I first tried this product about a month ago when I was looking for an inexpensive dupe for Liz Earle's Cleanse and Polish, and I heard a lot of people going nuts for this, so I thought to myself I might as well give it ago, after a month's usage every evening to remove my makeup, I do feel this is a worthwhile product to purchase, and gives you value for money(I think I paid 4.99) but at the moment it is on sale for £3.32, you get 200mls per tube and it also comes with a muslin cloth which I did try and it was pretty good, but at the moment I am using my Emma Hardie cloth(which I think we all know are fantastic)

So it's a massive thumbs up for the Superdrug Hot Cloth Cleanser! So I suggest you all run down to your local superdrug and snaffle yourself some! quick, go, go, go!!!!! :)

Skin Cleansing Mishap! Adventure with a toothbrush and toothpaste!

So here I am to tell you all about the skin cleansing mishap I had last night, the previous evening I noticed I had gained a few blackheads on my nose :( so I started having a google on a good way to remove them, and low and behold I came across a site that had numerous ways to clear them up, now this site told me a good method was a toothbrush and toothpaste, now at the time I thought : what a marvellous idea! Why didn't I think of this myself?

So, I sent myself out to purchase a toothbrush for said purpose, as you wouldn't want to use your toothbrush for your teeth do this with(yucky)!!
So I followed the directions on the site(see link above) and proceeded to gently rub my nose with the toothbrush, and then rinsed away the remaining toothpaste. After which I applied a nasal strip to my nose to clear out any remaining yuckiness.

After removing the strip, it was instantly like OMG! My nose!! what have I done to you??? It was the worst pain ever!!! Even though I gently or what I thought was gently exfoliating my nose with the toothbrush it appeared to have removed a layer of skin from my nose!!

So my advice is, if you notice you have a couple of blackheads, DO NOT do this!
You will end up looking like Rudolph until it heals!!!!
From now on I will not take all advice I read on the internet!
Please do have a giggle at this blog post and let me know your beauty mishaps!
I told my friend about this and she was in hysterics, and in hindsight I realise now it was a very silly thing to do :)
Thanks for reading about my silliness

as always much love

Lee Stafford Poker Straight(intensive care for flat iron addicts) Lee Stafford Blow Dry Your Hair Faster.

So here it is as promised, the review of these two Lee Stafford products, I have been using both of these products for three weeks now, as I like to give them a good amount of usage before I even think about doing a review!
Both products do promise to give you heat protection when blow-drying, straightening or using curling tongs.
The blowdry spray claims to help dry your hair quicker, and detangle.
So lets get on to what I actually thought of the products.
Lee Stafford: Blow Dry Your Hair Faster
This was £2.99 in Home and Bargain, and you get 200ml for your money.
As for blow drying your hair faster, I'd say that was just a clever marketing gimmick, as I was still drying my hair for the same amount of time(15 mins) whether I used the product or not, it does detangle your hair some and leave a nice scent to it, but as for the heat protection, I don't think you can actually prove how much it actually does protect your hair from heat. So my finally verdict is this, it wasn't great, if I had paid more than £2.99 for it, I would have been more disappointed in the product than I actually am.
So would I buy it again? Probably not, as really all it does is make your hair smell nice, and I already have a lot of products that do this.
Lee Stafford Poker Straight(intensive care for flat iron addicts)
Can I just say, I absolutely adore this, it smells absolutely delightful and leaves a gorgeous scent on your hair.
This was also £2.99 in Home and Bargain and is also 200ml, and is a fantastic treat for your hair, apply between your shampoo and conditioner, and leave on for five minutes( I left it for 10) then rinse and condition as usual.
The packaging says it help straighten hair, and it really does! My hair was straighter than its ever been, really shiny and glossy too, and as I said before smells delicious, you'll be sniffing your hair constantly :)

So final verdict? It's a thumbs down for the blow dry spray and a massive thumbs up for the poker straight treatment.

Before I go, a few quick questions :)
Have you tried these products before? Did you find you had a differing opinion to mine?
Please do comment and let me know your thoughts or ramblings, or absolutely anything else!

Hero Product Of The Month: Argan Oil Hydrating Hair Mask!

Wow it's August already, I so can't believe it, how fast is this year going???As it's the 1st August I decided to do my next hero product of the month, this month it is Argan Oil Hydrating Hair Mask.

I originally purchased this because the heat we've been having in the uk has been playing havoc with my hair and I wanted to add a little moisture to it, so when I saw this in my beloved Home and Bargain(lol) seriously I am never out of that store!! This was so cheap too, 99p for 220ml.

I wasn't holding out much hope for it being fabulous, mainly due to the price, but it really is a fantastic product and I highly recommend it :)
Directions of use are:
After shampooing, towel dry hair then apply argan oil hair mask from root to tip. Leave in for 7-10 minutes, then rinse.

My hair felt lovely and soft and tangle free after use and smelled lovely!

If anyone has any products they think are the bees knees, let me know so I can purchase some and review!

Please do comment xx

Hero Product Of The Month : Anatomicals Spray Misty For Me

I know what you are all thinking, here she goes on about Anatomicals again :) But I had to review this product, as it's been a godsend for me this past week.
I've been using it at work as the airconditioning is broken, so it is extremely hot!!!!!!
I was pleased I received this in my Glossybox,  but even more so when the hot weather we've been having in the UK arrived, it's never left my handbag, I'm also pleased that you can use this to set your makeup too, after spraying my face constantly in work, my makeup didn't move a inch!!!!!

So my verdict is this : Fantastic!!! I love you Anatomicals for making this product!!!!

So what's your verdict? Did you get one in your Glossybox?

Let me know below :)
Also quick question should I make Hero Product of the Month a regular thing on my blog?

Hello lovely readers and fellow bloggers :) Welcome to my review of the July Edition of Glossybox! Let me tell you I am over the moon with this one!!!! With the lovely weather we've been having lately this is a perfect theme!!!!!

On to the review!!!!

First Item I spotted was the Ciate Polish I received shade PP008 - Speed Dial which is a gorgeous orange colour! Perfect for summer!!!!! Full size is 13.5ml which if you wanted to purchase it would be £9.00, you can snaffle yourself a bottle here Look at the adorable bow on the bottle :)
Next item I spotted, is Anatomicals Spray Misty For Me, I love the names this brand comes up with and since being introduced, I have been trying their shampoos and conditioners, I purchased Beachy Head : Shampoo for Suicidal Hair, and The Sleek Shall Inherit The Earth Conditioner from here They both cost £2.80. This facial spritz can be used for setting your makeup or spritzing after you have cleansed your face. This costs £6.00 for 100ml and you can find stockists here
Since I have naturally curly hair this next product is perfect for me Alterna Haircaire Tousled waves Texture Mist, it can be used on either damp or dry hair, then just shape your hair with your fingers for a louse tousled style, Full size is £23.00 for 125ml you can snaffle a bottle here
As it's summer, something that every beach goer should have is a bottle of sun protection and Glossybox didn't disappoint with this bottle of Coola Organic Suncare, 30 minutes after application you will have SPF protection, I plan on applying a dab of this under my makeup when I plan on going out and about. Full size is 50ml for £25.99 you can purchase here

Lastly is two cute tubes of Sleek Pout paints, I liked the red shade I received, but I was little bewildered by a tube of blue, so I decided some research was in order, the blue is intended for mixing with other colours so you can create your own shades :) Both tubes are 8ml which is full size, they cost £4.99 to purchase and you can grab some here
Swatch Of Ciate Speed Dial

So what did other Glossybox subscribers get? I'd love to hear from you.

Outfit For Works Night Out On Sunday Evening!

Hello,Lovely Ladies!

So, I have a works night out to attend this Sunday Evening, and I wanted to get some opinions on the outfit I am planning to wear :) I purchased an F&F dress for the occasion, I originally wanted to get a red one, but they had none left in my size but I did like the blue just as much, this cost £18 in tesco, you can purchase one here

The clutch you see above I purchased here today, so I am hoping it arrives before sunday!!!! I have also purchased a silver and a blue polish from here as I'm notorious for last minute needed purchases, I really hope they arrive in time!!!!! The necklace is from ebay, it is silver with a blue stone.
I may or may not be wearing the silver jacket as I don't want to overdo the silver, the bracelet though I think is a must :) The shoes I purchased for a wedding and have only been worn once, so it's nice to be able to get another use out of them, if I remember correctly they were £15.

Please do let me know what you think and whether I should change anything, or have any ideas for hairstyles, like a cute updo! :) Thanks for reading! I will post a picture of me all dolled up on the night!!!!

Hello Lovelies,

You can snaffle a bottle of this for £2.50 here  Yes, I am an avon representative and it is something I love doing! But I am not doing this blog post just to get sales, I am also doing this post because I want my lovely readers to be able to try this fantastic product!!!!

It leaves a lovely shine on your nails, I have been using a coat of this over the top of Opi ' Matte Nail Envy ' and my nails feel really strong and sturdy, unfortunately my nails are not the strongest and do have a tendency to break :(  So this really has been a great product for me, especially as I am always working with my hands.

Thanks for reading, please leave any comments, I'd love to hear from you xx

NOTD and Tutorial!!!!

Hello lovely readers! So sorry about the lack of posts lately, been so busy! But I'm back and hopefully will be able to continue blogging on a more regular basis! So onto today's blog post!

Hope you like :)

To do this look on your own nails you will need :

  • Two different colour polishes.
  • A Base Coat
  • A Top Coat
  • Tweezers
  • Sellotape and a pair of scissors
  • Striping Tape
 Step one:

Apply your base coat, I used Opi Nail Envy, while it also strengthens your nails it makes for an excellent base coat.

Step Two

Section off the top half of your nails with a piece of sellotape, use your tweezers to push the tape down at the edges of the nail to stop the polish bleeding underneath. Apply the first polish to the section of nail not covered with tape, do this for each nail, peel off while still wet.

Step Three

Section off the bottom half of your nail( the one you just painted) for this part of the tutorial ensure your polish is completely dry as the tape will pull off your polish if it is still wet.
Paint the top half of your nail with your chosen second colour. Peel off the tape while it is still wet.

 Step Four

Ensure your polish is completely dry before attempting this section, cut your pieces of striping tape, you can use any colour you wish for this design, I used gold, apply your tape carefully with your tweezers to each nail,  trim off the excess with your scissors. Make sure the tape is stuck properly to each nail, and then seal with your topcoat! And voila!!!!! Fantastic nails!!!!!!

The colours I used for this nail design are :

Opi Dutch Ya' Just Love OPI!
Barry M Jelly Shine in shade Prickly Pear!
Rimmel Pro Top Coat Clearly Clear!

If you try this I'd love to see your results!

Thank you lovely ladies for reading!!!

Poundshop Haul!

Hello Lovely readers! I went on a bit of a poundshop haul and thought I'd show you what lovely bargains I got!

First up is Naked Shine Coconut and Shea Glossing treatment, this is a huge container(400ml) and great value for only £1, it smells absolutely gorge too! Directions are to apply a generous amount to your hair after washing and comb through, or alternatively wrap your hair in a towel and sit and do nothing for five minutes and then rinse :) I tried this the day I bought it and it left my hair shiny and soft and really manageable, it also makes your hair smell delicious!! What a great product for only £1, I recommend picking this up if you happen to wander past a pound-shop!!!!

It also claims to be 97% Natural, and that to me only adds to the products appeal!

Next up we have Tea Tree Foaming Face wash! This works into a really nice lather, and does make your skin feel clean afterwards and does smell strongly of Tea Tree, tea tree is well known to deal with any blemishes and or bothersome patches of skin, so we will see how my skin feels after a few uses.

And now for the best bit, there are no words to describe my obsession for nail polish!
These three little beauties are by a brand I have never heard of(Outdoor Girl), but I can't resist a bargain and I loved the colours from left to right is a gorgeous metallic green, a pretty blue shade and then last but not least my favourite the pink shade, what you can't see from the picture is when applied they have a touch of glitter so when dry your nails sparkle when light hits them! I love these polishes and will definitely be going back to purchase other shades!!!
I have seen these before in the poundstore and never purchased but on this visit, I decided why not just buy them!!!! I used these not long ago in a nail striping manicure and the finished result was great, they apply really well and have good staying power they don't chip or peel easily, which is a must in a nail polish for me!
I will use these again for nail striping and do a blog post next time :)

From left to right we have two polishes from Chit Chat, the one on the left is a clear polish with glittery particles and the middle one is actually gold not sure why it looks red lol then finally a purple from rimmel! I just fell in the love with this one, you can't tell from the picture but it seems to have a pearlescent shine to it.So pretty!!
Last but not least, two crackle polishes one purple and one red, I do like Sally Hansen so to see this was great for me! W7 is a brand I am familiar with but at the time I didn't own a crackle one by this brand and I really wanted to try it!! I'll keep you posted on these two!!!

So in total money spent was £12.00! Total bargain for the little gems I picked up.

Thanks for reading :) If you have any comments please leave them down below! Do you love your local pound-shop? What bargains have you picked up? I'd love to hear from you.

Until next time
